Mind Boggling

The political machines are gathering steam in spite of their unusual early start. It seems that both Democrats and Republicans are pressing just as hard as they can to rid the Whitehouse of that "horrible" lame duck. Horrible to them, Hero to me! I probably would have been hiding in my cellar by now if it hadn't been for President Bush chasing the Moslem Ouran believers where ever they pop their heads up. At any rate according to the media our wonderful president has done a lousy job, so since I am a thinking person, my attention is drawn toward the media to scrutinize them a little.
I also try to remember farther back than 8 years, to the former Whitehouse occupants. I try to remember how the media treated them. If I stand back and take full sweep of the Clinton years, I see the media excusing almost every rodham thing they did. The arbitrary firing of all U.S. Attorney Generals. The firing of the head of the FBI. The gutting of tenured Whitehouse employees, the closing of military bases. Most Presidents' wives wanted to help social concerns and the plights of the needy, but Hilarious jumped in with a communistic nationwide heath plan that she doggedly pushed until it was exposed as unworkable until we become a socialistic nation. They are still working on that.
The media excused a hedonistic president for his philandering and womanizing. The Oval office  became known as the Oral office. The media demonized Special Counsel's, ridiculed any Congressman who dared stand up. They minimalized stories of rape and assault. They would not allow retirees in Arkansas give their stories of lost life savings in the White Water scandal in which Hilarious defrauded the public. I dare not bring up other matters that happened but were never public knowledge.
Now before you feel that this is an anti-Clinton article, I remind you that we are talking about the media and its uncanny ways of focusing on its focuses and hiding its own secrets.  Whether we speak of a local small town newspaper that is owned by a conglomerate, or a local TV station that is life-supported by some biased network. Have you noticed that all the major networks got new anchors within a period of 3 years. Brokaw, Rather & Jennings out their doors overnight and replaced. (No I am not saying Jennings death was a conspiracy.... unless a higher power was involved in that transition.) The media does anything it can and does anything to anybody it can to maintain its supremacy and its adherents.  It is like a neighborhood bully, who tells all the other kids that he is top and will beat up anyone who don't agree.  Some networks are so deceitful that they pretend to be on your side and plan their programming with just enough conservatism to lure you in, then make you watch naked bodies and listen to raunchy dialog. I don't care for Bill Oreilly simply because he has no morals and he is certainly on his way to hell. He is the usual talking head who knows what subjects appeal to us, but wickedly sprinkles in garbage.
In my opinion, many of us need to get a life. We need to put the newspaper in the bottom of the birdcage before we read it, we need to order some scriptural cd movies and disconnect the cable. Newsweek, Newsday and Time can be replaced with intelligent publications. I understand that Jay Leno has almost made the same statement. I had not read his commentary until this week.
Can someone tell me why the media is so rapt with Hollywood and its sordid collection of mistakes and miscreants. I get so tired of the media's reaction to the "untimely" death of a budding star or starlet.  It's not untimely when they take chemicals into their systems that would clean out a sewer.
I know that what I have written here probably won't be read by more than a few readers, but I just felt that I needed to remind us that the Bible is still the best source for usable news. The other stuff is just mind boggling.
